Moment Config

The Moment Config section allows configuration of key radar site and system parameters that affect moment calculation and radar signal processing. Correct configuration ensures accurate and reliable radar data output.

Site Information

  • Site Name: The name of the radar site for identification.
  • IP Address: The IP address of the radar control system.
  • IP Port: The network port used for radar communication.

Site Location

  • Latitude: Latitude of the radar site in decimal degrees.
  • Longitude: Longitude of the radar site in decimal degrees.
  • Height (Meters): Height of the radar above sea level in meters.

Radar System Parameters

  • Format: Data output format (e.g., RAW, NetCDF, etc.).
  • Max Duty: Maximum allowable radar duty cycle (%).
  • Wavelength: Radar wavelength in centimeters.
  • Air Attenuation: Atmospheric attenuation factor (dB/km).
  • Horizontal Waveform Power: Peak power of the horizontal waveform (Watts).
  • Vertical Waveform Power: Peak power of the vertical waveform (Watts).

Antenna Parameters

  • Horizontal Beam: Horizontal beamwidth of the antenna (degrees).
  • Vertical Beam: Vertical beamwidth of the antenna (degrees).
  • Horizontal Antenna Gain: Gain of the antenna in the horizontal polarization (dBi).
  • Vertical Antenna Gain: Gain of the antenna in the vertical polarization (dBi).

Moment Calibration Parameters

  • Zdr: Differential reflectivity calibration offset (dB).
  • Phi: Differential phase calibration offset (degrees).
  • Kdp: Specific differential phase calibration coefficient.
  • Kdp Alpha Z: Coefficient used in Kdp estimation related to Z.
  • Kdp Alpha Zdr: Coefficient used in Kdp estimation related to Zdr.
